Reporting directly to the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Generalist will provide overall strategic human resource (HR) leadership for the Company, coordinating the execution of HR strategies and solutions across Driven Resources. The Human Resources Manager will play a hands-on role in new initiatives and strategies for employee and policy development, creating a workplace environment consistent with the values and mission outlined by the President and senior management.


Although additional duties and related tasks may be assigned, the essential duties and responsibilities of this position include the following:

▪ Encourage a collaborative environment and work to cultivate a culture that aligns with the Company’s values and mission
▪ Take the initiative and make recommendations to the President for process improvements
▪ Plan, organize and control all activities of the department. Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems
▪ Comply with regulatory requirements. Anticipate regulatory changes and impact on the organization, recommend and implement solutions to ensure continuity, safety and minimize risk
▪ Mentor and train direct reports to ensure a high performing HR team that is compliant with state and federal laws and adhere to HR best practices, with a focus on delivering effective programs/ processes and exceptional customer service
▪ Develop and implement a comprehensive HR training program and ensure ongoing training and reinforcement of skills for managers as well as employees
▪ Oversee a successful recruiting process that adheres to best practices. Rewrite job descriptions, manage the delivery of exceptional talent as needed, and develop a pipeline strategy for Drivers and other high volume or hard to fill positions
▪ Train and develop the recruiting and assessment/staffing skills of leaders in the organization, as well as the HR team.
▪ Provide ongoing coaching to managers, supporting them in their management activities
▪ Oversee group benefits programs (group health, dental, vision, Workers’ Compensation, 401(k) and retirement plan) and leave of absences (PDL, FMLA, CFRA, etc.)
▪ Oversee Workers’ Compensation, including filing OSHA 300 reports ▪ Develop and maintain affirmative action program; file EEO-1 annually; maintain other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations
▪ Guide the organization to fully embrace and utilize the organization’s performance management process. Revise as needed and coach managers on individual performance management challenges ▪ Conduct internal investigations as required
▪ Evaluate and enhance new hire orientation and the on-boarding process; monitor regularly and adapt as needed. Provide a rich and effective experience for new hires resulting in short-term satisfaction and long-term engagement
▪ Implement and annually update the compensation program; conduct annual salary surveys and develop merit pool (salary budget); analyze compensation
▪ Make recommendations on organizational and space planning
▪ Maintain employee confidence and protect Lux Bus America by keeping the information confidential
▪ Contribute to team effort by completing related duties and special projects as needed
▪ Travel as required

Education / Experience

▪ Minimum 5 years’ experience in HR
▪ 2 years’ experience in a management role
▪ Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
▪ Experience in a mid-size company in a multi-shift / multi-site environment
